Unknown Places-exhibit

A collaboration between me and Tonje Arnesen.
Her Fashion Graduate collection plus my photography, in The Toilet gallery, Kingston.

Did some rough designs of the space when the idea first turned up in March:

The idea then moved on from that, changed and brewed as the collection got created and I went on random trips looking for good shoots in London parks.

This is the Poster Tonje made, connecting both of our work, and as we are surrounded by interessting people, my flatmate and good friend Michelle Chong did the modeling for the whole collection lookbook:

And for those not familiar with the venue, this is the Toilet Gallery, curated by amongst others my friends Kate Renwick and Tristan Rodgers.

When setting the exhibit up, we decided to use only the room to the left in this picture. It was a more "calm" as a space, as there is a lot going on with our work. And as you walk in ther is two doors leading in and you can only hear the music as you enter the room, whilst that would be hard to do with the other space. The feeling of entereing an unknown place is what we wanted and it was achieved to most extents.
If there was more time I would have emphasized more on the decoration for continuity, but it is still a good result.
And for my part it was a great firs experience of doing more instalation related work.

Last a big thank you to Cecilia for helping out on making muffins and some of the pics underneat:

I found a loft while looking for lightning spots! Had really no clue, it was well hidden in spider webs..
